Back to ProjectsVictoria Park Playground, Ballarat
Victoria Park, on the corner of Sturt and Gillies Street in Ballarat Consists of 130 hectares of recreational Parkland.
The site was initially planted in May 1890 with more than 700 trees by the citizens of Ballarat in celebration of Victoria’s first Arbor Day.
Victoria Park Playground is a large Family orientated park providing many different types of play areas for children of all ages. Consisting of water park, climbing frames and swings. Also offering areas for sitting and eating.
For this project we carried out the following works:
- We designed and constructed a water play area sponsored by Central Highlands Water. Helping children understand to understand the way water makes its way from the mountains to the sea by shutting and opening gates on the water ways.
- Construction of the park layout with levels and features, including the Concrete paths Plain and Coloured.
- Installation of the soft play areas
- Soft planting and mulching of the park beds
- Grassing of open areas
